The family-owned Estherea Hotel, with its 17th-century fa??ade, is ideally situated in the heart of the city, along one of the most picturesque and tranquil canals. The Dam, Central Station, the main shopping areas, museums, and theaters are all within walking distance. Hotel Estherea has been a family business ever since it was founded in 1942 and is now run by the third generation. The Estherea has a lounge with canal view and bar where coffee and tea is served free of charge. Guests will also find foreign newspapers for sale and a small library with books in different languages.

The hotel is a two-minute walk from the popular and lively Dam Square. Within a ten-minute walk, guests can reach the central train station, Red Light District, Rembrandt Square, Flower Market, and the Jordaan area. There are also the Anne Frank House, museums, the zoo, and canal boat rides within 15 minutes walking distance.
